William J. Arvin
William J. Arvin, 87, died Aug. 19, 2011. He was born in Bedford, Ind., and lived in Indianapolis until he retired from Ryder Truck In-Service Center in 1988.
He moved to Texas, where he lived in Granite Shoals the last 12 years.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter Sue Wampner of Granite Shoals; sons John and wife Karen of Speedway, Ind., and Steven and wife Sonia of Harrison, Ariz.; daughter Mary-Jo Paugh and husband Steve of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Sister Agnes Virginia, Sisters of Providence, St. Mary of the Woods, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Jane; and his son William “Mike.”
