MARBLE FALLS — The end of July marks the beginning of an important part of summer for Texas — the start of a new football season.

The Marble Falls High School football coaching staff, however, wants to make sure each boy in the area gets a chance to join in the fun.

Head coach Cord Woerner will conduct the free camp beginning July 25 for incoming freshman from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Marble Falls High School practice fields, 2101 Mustang Drive.

Incoming seventh- and eighth-graders’ camp is 8:30-11 a.m. July 25-26, while incoming second- through sixth-graders can participate 8:30-11 a.m. July 27-28.

“For our incoming freshmen and middle-school players, it’s very good if they’re able to be there,” Woerner said.

Those camps will be at the Marble Falls Middle School practice fields, 1511 Pony Circle Drive.

“The big thing is that it’s free,” Woerner said. “We’d like to have all the younger kids. We like having those young guys.”
