MFalls JV squad starts state tourney
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls Junior Varsity 7-on-7 squad gets to test its mettle Saturday, July 9, as they participate in the Primetime Sports “Tournament of Champions” in College Station.
“This is the highest level the junior varsity can go,” said Jerry Watson, commissioner of the Marble Falls Hill Country Passing League, in which the team competed. “For our kids, one of the big things about this tournament ais probably 85-90 percent of the schools competing will be 5A programs.”
Marble Falls High School is a 4A school with an attendance of about 1,000, meaning it has fewer students than a class 5A.
“It’s going to be a big opportunity for our kids,” Watson said.
