The first baby of 2011 born in Llano was delivered at Scott & White Hospital-Llano, formerly Llano Memorial Hospital, at 8:58 a.m. Jan. 2. Angela Davila, shown here with mother Maribel Davila of Kingsland, weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19.25 inches long. Father Luis Davila says she has a 13-year-old sister, Jocelyn, and a 9-year-old brother, Guillermo, who can’t wait to see her. Hospital Chief Executive Officer Kevin Leeper adds, ‘This new year’s birth is extra special to us as it marks the first baby born at our hospital since the merger with Scott & White (Healthcare) on Jan. 1. Our physicians and staff assisted with 315 births last year, and we look forward to many birthdays in the years to come.’ Scott & White is also building a regional medical center south of Marble Falls.
