Clara Bell Lockwood

Clara Bell Lockwood, 86, of Copperas Cove died Dec. 10, 2010, in a Temple hospital. She was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Smithwick to Charles Lafatte Henry and Myrtle Collier Henry. She was a homemaker and avid gardener. She loved her dogs Tippy, Spotty and Shorty. She enjoyed riding around the countryside looking at deer.

Survivors include sons Charles Lockwood of Copperas Cove and Danny and wife Betty Lockwood of Kempner; sister-in-law Ruth Henry of Burnet; two nephews; and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George Lockwood in 1995; her brothers; and a sister.

Visitation was Dec. 13 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.

Graveside services will be private.
