Everard Lee Birdsong, 89, of Meadowlakes died April 23, 2010.

Born June 26, 1920, in Waterville, Wash., he was the son of Vollie and Adie Mae (Lee) Birdsong.

He served in the Army Air Corps for 26 months in the South Pacific. He received three battle stars for his service in Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, and the South Philippines.

He was master sergeant in charge of all airplanes in the squadron. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree and retired as an executive for a brewery.

He is survived by his wife Lois Birdsong of Meadowlakes.

A private service will be held at a later date in Bloomington, Minn.
