James Brenner Clements, 85, of Llano and formerly of Winkler County died April 18, 2010.  He was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Snyder to Almedia Florence (Martin) and William Henry Clements.

He married Cloyce Corbell Jan. 23, 1943, in Snyder. They were married for 62 years.

He was a member of Llano First Baptist Church and Llano Cowboy Church and was a Mason.  He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. He later worked as an oil field plant operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff M. Clements of Kyle, James B. Clements, Jr. of Huntsville and Joey W. Clements and wife Anne of Hobbs, N.M.; sister Frances Lewis of Phoenix; grandchildren Mandy Gilbert, Tracy Mitchell, Michael Clements, Scott Clements, Mark Clements, Tim Clements, Sean Clements; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation was held April 20 at Waldrope-Hatfield- Hawthorne Funeral Home in Llano.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. April 21 at Waldrope-Hatfield- Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel of Llano, 307 E. Sandstone St., with the Rev. Stacey Nobles officiating.  Burial will follow at the Llano City Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Steven Allen, Glenn Patterson, Scott Clements, Sean Clements, Buddy Myers and Dr. David Hoerster.
