Glyn Leonard Day Jr.

Glyn Leonard Day Jr., 68, of Marble Falls died April 16, 2010, at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin.
He was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Muskogee, Okla. to Glenn Leonard Day and Wilma Dezel Kiker Day. After spending his first 12 years in Oklahoma, he moved to Odessa, where he graduated from Odessa High School in 1961.
He attended the University of Oklahoma from 1961–1962 on a swimming scholarship and later transferred to Texas Tech University from 1963-1965, where he served as the captain of the swim team and was named an All-Southwest Conference swimmer.
He graduated from Texas Tech in 1965 with a degree in marketing.
He spent the majority of his adult life living in Odessa working as a commercial contractor. He moved to the Hill Country in the late 1980s where he lived out the remainder of his life as an entrepreneur.
He married Judy Kaye Farmer Day on Nov. 2, 1962, in Madill, Okla. He married his second wife, Patricia Rae Wood Day, May 8, 1990 in Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Day of Marble Falls; sister Deanna Phillips of Austin; brother Douglas Day of Hobbs, N.M.; son Glyn Day of Overbrook, Kan.; daughters Denise Smith and Kimberlie Arnold of Lubbock; stepdaughters Nancy Campbell of Midland, Peggy Ussery of San Antonio and Cheryl McElhaney of Odessa; 14 grandchildren, four nephews and he nieces.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. April 24 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls, 1805 U.S. 281 North.
