Frederick S. Tischhauser. Jr. 79, of LaPorte, formerly of Granite Shoals, died April 18, 2010.

He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in LaPorte to Frederick & Ada (Sutterfield) Tischhauser.

He served in the Army for three years and later worked with public schools and as a boatman.

He is survived by his son Freddie Tischhauser of La Porte; daughter Delores Cleveland of Liberty; sister Ada Sterling of La Porte; grandson Douglas Cleveland and granddaughter Wanda Kay Cleveland. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Helen Tischhauser; sisters Delores McKie and Ruth Tischhauser and brother Paul Tischhauser.

Graveside services were Wednesday at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Whyburn officiating.
