Edward M. Miller

Edward M. Miller, 85, of Granite Shoals, died April 16, 2010. He was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Detroit to Walter & Nellie (Kalinowski) Kwasnicki.

He served in the Navy for eight years and witnessed an atomic bomb test while serving aboard the USS Randolph. He was later a small business owner and a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Viola Miller of Granite Shoals; sisters Nellie Fitzgerald and Janet Shimke, both of Detroit; niece Linda Johnson and nephew Paul Johnson, both of Midland.

Private services will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
