Marzilla Hawkins, 87 of Llano and formerly of Deeson, Miss., died March 29, 2010. She was born in Delhi, La., on Aug. 24, 1922, to Ela (Denton) and John Crane.

She married Robert "Bob" Hawkins Aug. 31, 1936 in Vicksburg, Miss.

She was the receptionist for Dr. J.P. Dodgen’s veterinary clinic for 10 years and was a Baptist.

Survivors  include daughters Faye Brewer, Rosena Ahrlett, Peggy Holcomb, and Doris Hall, all of Llano; sons Robert "Bobby" Hawkins Jr. and Johnny Hawkins Sr., both of Llano; brother J.V. Crane of Louisiana; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oct. 24, 1992; parents; granddaughters Anita Faye Moss and Tracy Ann Hawkins; grandsons Timmy Whitaker, Robert Mark Moss and Sammy Holcomb; and great-granddaughters Brandy Morgan, Heather Nicole Franklin and Cassie Desirae Franklin.

A  visitation is 5-7 p.m. March 31 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home chapel, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano.

A funeral service is 2 p.m. April 1 at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jerry Don Moss, Matthew Hawkins, Lance Ahrlett, Bozo Hoskins, Gordon Ray Holcomb and Johnny Hawkins Jr.

Burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery.
