John S. Bradley, 78, of Taylor and formerly of Burnet, died March 27, 2010.

He grew up in Burnet, was honorably discharged from the Army, married Hazel Courtney and moved to Austin. He had successful careers as a barber and musician. His great loves in life were his family and playing music.

After the death of his first wife, he married Bertha Miller and moved to Burnet to enjoy retirement on the lake, fishing, golfing and playing music.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children Judy Reed, Robert Bradley and Lisa Freatman and husband Mark; sister Lois Wright; brothers Joe and Jack Bradley; his grandchildren Ben, Brittney, Kristina, Madison and Avery; and great-granddaughter Lilli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Nancy Bradley; first wife; and his sister Florence Daniels.

A visitation is 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 1 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with the service following at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating.

Burial will be at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
