Harold Earl Bernhard, 81, died Feb. 23, 2010. He was a long-time Kerrville resident and enjoyed living on the lake in Sunrise Beach for the last 10 years.

 

He co-owned Bernhard’s Locker in Ingram with his dad, Uncle Milton and brothers. He graduated from Tivy High School in 1946 and attended Texas A&M University, graduating from Texas A&I University.

He reached the rank of lieutenant in the Army and served in the Korean War.

His favorite pastimes included golf, cheering for the Aggies and spending time with his wife, their children and grandchildren.

He loved life and was a good friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Linda Marie Bernhard; sons Carlton and wife Carol,  Earl and wife Linda, and Carvel; daughters Helene, Kelly, Christy and Mandy and husband Patrick; brothers Fred and wife Melody, and John Allen and wife Renae; 10 grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.

He was previously married to Frances Ann Carlton, who preceded him in death.

There will be a gathering of family and friends 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Mamacita’s, 215 Junction Highway, in Kerrville.
