Literacy group holds GED, ESL registration

HIGHLAND LAKES — Literacy Highland Lakes is holding registration for fall General Educational Development diploma and English-as-a-second-language classes.

Registration for GED classes in Burnet is Sept. 8 and Sept. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Quest High School, 303 N. Pierce, room 204.       

In Marble Falls, registration for GED instruction is Sept. 4, 9 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Marble Falls High School, 2101 Mustang Drive.       

Registrants should come prepared to take a placement test on the night of registration, sponsors said. This allows for correct placement in the Literacy Highland Lakes GED preparation program. 

Registration for ESL classes  in Burnet is Sept. 15 10-11:30 a.m. at the Herman Brown Free Library, 100 E. Washington St. and 7-8:30 p.m. at Burnet CISD Professional Development Center,  308 E. Brier; on Sept. 18 7-8:30 p.m. at Quest High School, room 204; and Sept. 17 1-3 p.m. at the Granite Shoals Fire Department, 8410 RR 1431 West.
