Early a.m. wreck claims College Station man
Aaron Ray Anderson, 28, was pronounced dead by Burnet County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace James McElroy, according to Department of Public Safety reports.
The wreck occurred about one mile north of Burnet, according to a report by DPS Trooper Patrick McElroy.
Anderson was alone and traveling east in a 2007 Chevrolet pickup around 6 a.m. when a distraction in the vehicle caused him to veer off the south side of the roadway, the report said. The driver overcorrected, sending the vehicle into a side skid across the road and into a bar ditch on the north side. The truck rolled over, throwing Anderson from the vehicle.
The pickup came to rest on top of Anderson after rolling through a private fence line, the report stated.
McElroy’s report said Anderson was not wearing a safety belt.
Funeral services were held at the Grace Funeral Home of Victoria, according to a report in the Bryan-College Station Eagle’s online edition.
