In the Burnet Tournament, the Bullpups beat Lampasas, 34-32, in overtime. Burnet outscored Lampasas, 13-1, in the third period for a 23-19 lead. But the Badgers scored 10 points to tie the game at 29 to force the overtime.
Burnet lost to Georgetown Benold, 35-23, and Trinity Episcipal, 42-34, to finish the tournament with a 1-2 mark.
The Bullpups ended the week with a loss to Liberty Hill, 56-30. Coach Glen Hafley said the Panthers were “a good and physical team.”
“We played hard but were just unable to really get everything together,” he said. “I am very proud of the effort the boys are putting out each night and believe that it will not be long that we will turn that into wins.”
Hafley said he is proud of the players and their efforts.
“I have a great group of kids to work with and they work hard day in and day out,” he said.
The Bullpups will host Wimberley Thursday.
