Stars Academy cheer team keeping busy

MARBE FALLS — A first-place trophy is the latest addition to the collection of prizes at Stars Academy of Cheer and Dance in Marble Falls, sponsors said. The academy is located at 910 Ninth St.

The competitive cheer team has been making the rounds this fall while contributing to multiple community events including the Marble Falls High School homecoming and Veterans Day parades, a show at Market Days and hosting the Moonlight Madness Spooktackular.  

The students of Stars Academy also participated in the parade to kick off the Walkway of Lights Nov. 21, followed by a performance the morning of Nov. 22 during the Court Appointed Special Advocates of the Highland Lakes Area 5K run at Johnson Park.  

Next, the cheer team will focus on their upcoming competitions, one at the AT&T Center in San Antonio with the Spurs Dec. 6, then another in January.  

The competitive team will showcase their talents alongside the dancers, gymnasts and exhibition cheer teams of Stars Academy 

The public is welcome to view a free show noon Dec. 13 at First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls, 1101 Bluebonnet Drive.
