Allied Waste changes hours for Thanksgiving

HIGHLAND LAKES — Allied Waste crews will not pick up trash Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday, officials said.

Customers in Marble Falls, Granite Shoals, Meadowlakes, Horseshoe Bay and other areas who normally have their trash picked up Thursday will have their pickups moved to Friday, Allied Waste General Manager Keith Conrad said.

Customers with Friday pickups will have their trash removed Saturday, he added.

The schedule switch is in effect this week only in order to give Allied Waste employees time off with their families for Thanksgiving, Conrad said.

Anyone with questions can call Allied Waste’s Marble Falls office at (830) 693-3513.

All area post offices and local and state government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, officials said.

Regular schedules will resume Monday.

The Daily Tribune offices at 1007 Ave. K in Marble Falls also will be closed.
