Give a hoot at Hooty’s Fabulous Fall Fest
Apple bobbing, making wands and even a little magic from the creator of wizard Harry Potter are promised at the event, which is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the bookstore, 1103 RR 1431.
Sponsors said $3 of every purchase will go towards The Helping Center of Marble Falls, a local food bank. Plus, those who bring a canned good get $1 off the purchase of a book.
Organizers said guests can explore the Great Harvest, dig for hidden treasures and maybe discover a prize that will grant a special gift.
Children can even write letters to Santa, and the store will personally send them to the North Pole to make sure guests’ posts arrive before everybody else’s.
Kids can also color Christmas trees, gingerbread men and ornaments.
Parents will have a chance to pre-order J.K. Rowling’s book of nursery rhymes, “Tales from Beedle the Bard,” a legendary figure mentioned in the “Harry Potter” fantasy novels.
Starbucks is providing iced tea and coffee and Keegan’s Pastries will be serving pastries in signature gift packages.
There also will be special in-store discounts.
