Golf tourney to help the softball team
The event will be at Hidden Falls Country Club, 220 Meadowlakes Drive, in Meadowlakes Nov. 22.
The four-person scramble will start at 1 p.m.
Booster club co-representative Lonnie Yates said as many as 32 teams can participate.
Cost is $60 per player and includes a hamburger dinner. A silent auction also will be part of the dinner.
Hole sponsors are also welcome, Yates said, for $500 that includes four entries and a sign on the course.
In the past the Lady Mustangs conducted a 15-inning marathon where players hit balls and asked community members to sponsor them. Money was raised through the number of hits and the distance of each ball. But the event was six hours long and some of the players got hurt, Yates said.
“I think we can raise as much money and get other people involved,” Yates said about the golf tournament.
Deadline for signing up is Nov. 19.
