Fry brothers lead Ponies to the win
Coaches said the game got off to a slow start with the first quarter score ending at 0-0.
In the second quarter, James Fry scored from 20 yards out with Daniel Orsornio kicking the extra point.
The Marble Falls defense played its best half of football in the second half. Led by Jason Edwards and Adrian Battles, the Ponies shut down the Tigers, who were never really a threat to score, coaches said.
Tyler Fry had a sack that caused a fumble. Tyler’s brother James Fry scored the second touchdown of the night.
“I was very impressed with the offensive line play,” coach Kevin McLean said. “We put in four new plays for the Tigers and the line executed them even better than we expected.”
The Ponies will travel to face Austin Westlake Tuesday.
