Burnet calls off boil-water notice

City Manager Mike Steele said the notice was issued after a main was accidentally broken Wednesday, allowing some mud to enter the municipal water supply.
State regulations require cities to issue 24-hour boiling notices when untreated water enters the drinking water supply, he said.
The notice was lifted by mid-afternoon Thursday.
