Neal Lynch, 68, of Bertram, Texas, passed away March 27, 2017. He was born in Lampasas and spent his entire life in the Texas Hill Country.

He graduated from Pflugerville High School, where he is still known for his gifted talents on the football field. Upon graduation, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, for which he proudly served during the Vietnam War, earning the Bronze Star and playing football.

On Sept. 7, 1977, he married the love of his life, Debra, and together they raised three children. He was the owner of Utility Trailer Sales in Burnet.

Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Laverne Lynch, and brother Charles Lynch.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra Lynch; daughter, Julie Robison and husband Michael; sons, Thomas Lynch and wife Colleen and Brian Lynch and wife, Kimberly; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Shell and husband Preston and Linda Thompson and husband Steve; brother Mitchell Lynch and wife Gerry; and his beloved dog, Monkey.

A funeral service was April 1 at Edgar and Jenkins Family Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with interment at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram.
