Dorothy E. Jones

Dorothy E. Jones of Horseshoe Bay died Oct. 15, 2012, at Deer Creek of Wimberley surrounded by family.
She lived each day to the fullest and had a zest for live. She made an unforgettable impression on everyone she met.
She always said although she was born in Ohio, she got to Texas as fast as she could.
She spent her young life in Bellefontaine, Ohio, where she was a cheerleader in high school and participated in sports. After she graduated high school, she attended a two-year college and received her associate’s degree in office administration.
During World War II, she briefly spent time in Florida and San Diego, Calif., where she had family. In San Diego, she met and later married Latham F. Jones, a Navy fighter pilot. She spent most of her married life in Dallas and Denton and was blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Later, she moved to the Hill Country and lived in Horseshoe Bay for 20 years.
She loved dancing, music, the outdoors and all creatures great and small. She never met a stranger and loved meeting and getting to know new people. She embodied love, joy and happiness and blessed the lives of her children and friends. She always will be loved and remembered.
Survivors include children Julie A. Jones of Wimberley and Latham F. Jones of Argyle; and grandchildren Kaitlyn Jones and Cole Jones, both of Argyle.
She was preceded in death by her husband; father Clifford Eaton; mother Ruth Beard Eaton; brother Richard Eaton; and sisters Alice Ebert and Jean DeLaughter.
