George M. ‘Georgie’ Haskett
George M. “Georgie” Haskett, 58, of Llano died May 3, 2012. He was born Feb. 10, 1954, to Martin C. Haskett Jr. and Della Pitt Galloway in Robstown.
He was a resident of Llano since 1980 after coming from Austin. He was one of the first employees of the Sonic restaurant when it opened in Llano. Most recently he worked for Llano Recycling Opportunities.
He loved the drums and drumming.
Survivors include his foster-care providers, Dolores Menchaca and Randy Sanderson of Llano; brother Kenneth Galloway and wife Marty of Weatherford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
A funeral service was May 7 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home chapel, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Jerald Moore officiating.
Burial followed at the Crosby Cemetery in Mason.
Pallbearers included Mike Torres, Mario Robles, Damaron Simpson, Adam Morquecho, Mark Morquecho and David Barros.
Honorary pallbearers included Gerald Wendel, David Garcia and Freddie Sapein.
