Vernelle Woehler Palmour, 80, of Sunrise Beach died April 27, 2012. She was born in Seguin to Edward and Edna (Kruger) Woehler on June 9, 1931.

She also lived at one time in Burnet.

She graduated from Seguin High School and Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, earning a degree in art. She taught for 34 years.

For many years she was active in all arts and craft shows, a retired teachers’ association, veterans’ affairs and The American Legion.

Survivors include her husband Raymond “Coach” Palmour; daughter Roxanne Palmour Gosch and husband Mark; sons Stephen Palmour and wife Kathleen,  and Aaron Palmour and wife Shirley; sisters Arline Woehler Eberhard and husband Herbert and Shirley Woehler Hester and husband Douglas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life is 2 p.m. May 12 at First United Methodist Church in Burnet with the Rev. Thom Elliott officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, March of Dimes or any library system of choice.
