Ima Ruth Smith
Ima Ruth Smith, 77, of Llano died April 25, 2012. She was born Feb. 3, 1935, to Oscar Estes and Vertie (Price) Estes in Winfield, Ala. On Sept. 11, 1954, she married Frank Smith in her hometown.
She had been a resident of Llano since 1993, coming from Andrews. She attended the First Assembly of God in Llano. She loved playing bingo, crossword puzzles and search-a-word puzzles, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, survivors include daughters Diane Haggerton and husband Leroy, Barbara Gunnels and husband Roger, Frankie Sue Blackmon and Gail Hooper, all of Llano; stepson Billy Ray Harrison and wife Glenda of Georgia; sister Leona Smith of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
A graveside service is 2 p.m. April 29 at the Llano City Cemetery with the Rev. Donna Lauzon officiating.
