Dorothy Jean Jones
Dorothy Jean Jones, 77, of Granite Shoals died Feb. 1, 2012. She was born in Dalhart on June 11, 1934, to Robert Vernon and Mollie (Huggins) Braizer.
She was a longtime resident of the Highland Lakes.
She married Paul Jones on Nov. 19, 1948, in Sweetwater. She loved to camp, cook and make homemade biscuits.
She loved her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include children Allen Jones and wife Arlene of Granite Shoals, Sybil Maynard and husband John of Cottonwood Shores, Pauletta Maynard and husband Jimmy of Bertram, Kenny Jones of Granite Shoals, June Puhlmann of Kingsland, Mary Herring and husband Richard of Granite Shoals, Paul Jones of Cottonwood Shores; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother Robert Vernon Braizer and wife Marie of Bandera; and dog Honey Bear.
A visitation was Feb. 5 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
A graveside service was Feb. 6 at the Marble Falls City Cemetery with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating.
