Joseph V. ‘Pop’ LeJeune

Joseph V. "Pop" LeJeune, 71, of Kingsland died Jan. 11, 2012. He was born in Leonville, La., on May 5, 1940, to Calise and Lillian (Carrier) LeJeune.

In 1992, he and his wife, Della, moved to Kingsland from Crowley, La. He was a member of Buchanan West Baptist Church in Buchanan Dam.

Survivors include wife Della K. LeJeune of Kingsland; sons Gerney LeJeune and wife Tracey of Llano and Kalan LeJeune and wife Melissa Penny of Kingsland; daughters Georgia LeJeune of Crowley, La., and Debbie Guidry and husband Jerry Sr. of Buchanan Dam; sister Corrine Deshotel and husband Terrell of Iota, La.; daughter-in-laws Barbara LeJeune of Stephenville and Kathy LeJeune of Tow; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; a brother; two sons; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. Jan. 13 at Buchanan West Baptist Church with John Taylor officiating.
