Ruth G. Kelley, 94, of Burnet died Jan. 2, 2012. She was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Burnet to Paris B. and Mary J. Trammell Hullum.

She married Dick Kelley Nov. 7, 1936. Together they owned and operated Kelley Tire Co. from 1957 until her retirement in 1978.

Not to be idle, she drove a school bus for many years. She remained active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 425; she was a member for 60 years. She also continued to sell tires in Burnet up until this past year.

Survivors include sons Mike Kelley and wife Deborah of Burnet, and Marcus Kelley and wife Betty of Georgetown; nephew Wayne Hullum and wife Gwen of Georgetown; and grandchildren Stephen, Zachary, Patrick, Alyssa and Katelyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband April 25, 2004, after 67 years of marriage; parents; and brothers Samuel Hullum, Nathan Hullum and Clarence Hullum.

Services were Jan. 5 at the First Baptist Church of Burnet with the Rev. Barry Drake officiating.

Interment followed in the Burnet City Cemetery.
