Raymond "Ray" Samuel Heim, 85, died Nov. 4, 2011. He had lived in Burnet since 1997.

He was born in Channing, Mich., on June 23, 1926, to Raymond and Cora Heim. As a son of a railroad employee, he moved many times during his youth and graduated from Hilbert High School in Hilbert, Wis. He married his wife Colleen on Oct. 10, 1953, at Grace Lutheran Church.

They spent the next 47 years together.

His business career was spent at Shade Inc. in Green Bay, Wis. 
He blessed us all with unforgettable memories, unconditional love and many life lessons. The things most important to him were his love of family whom he treasured, encouraging his kids and grandkids, and his love of God.

During the past 14 years, he spent his time encouraging others at Delaware Springs Municipal Golf Course and Hill Country Fellowship church in Burnet.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Tom and Katie Heim of St. Paul, Minn., Amy and Brian McGinley of Indianapolis, Ind., Tim and Cindy Heim of Medford, Ore., and Bill and Rosa Heim of Austin; grandchildren David, Tom, Samantha, Lauren, Will, Emily, Jarod, Sydney and Lindsey; and great-grandson Malachi.
A celebration of life is 10 a.m. Nov. 23 at Hill Country Fellowship, 200 Houston Clinton Drive in Burnet.
