Ruth M. Robbins
Ruth M. Robbins, 83, of Spicewood, died Oct. 30, 2011. Born March 10, 1928, in Leon County, she was the daughter of Freddie and Viola (Burnett) Walpole.
She was a member of Spicewood Baptist Church in Spicewood and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had served as the Matron of the Austin Chapter. She retired from US Brewers and also owned a typing service.
Survivors include daughters Barbara Womack and husband Loyd of Spicewood, Linda Sanders and husband James of Sylacuga, Ala., and Cheryl Walpole of Harwood; son George Robbins of Luling; sisters Shirley Shouse of Conroe and Lois McVay of Taylor; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband August Robbins; sisters Ruby Wegner and Faye Bryant; and brothers Floyd Walpole and George Walpole.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Nov. 12 at First Baptist Church in Spicewood with the Rev. Bill McCormick officiating.
