Ewin Junior “Bill” Fortner
Ewin Junior “Bill” Fortner, 85, of Granite Shoals died Oct. 24, 2011. He was born April 14, 1926, in Wichita Falls to Jack and Lena Campbell Fortner.
He served in the Navy and was a cable splicer in the telephone industry.
Survivors include his wife Lillian; sons Ronald, Stephen and Michael; daughter Linda Mitchell and husband John; three grandsons; one granddaughter; four great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and two great-great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-sisters Myrtie, Margaret, AlgaMae, Ida and Laura; half-brothers Buddy and Thurman Stewart; and brother Howard Fortner.
A service is 10 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Marble Falls Church of Christ, 711 Broadway in Marble Falls, with Greg Neill officiating.
