Willynn Zulauf, 86, of Cherokee died Oct. 18, 2011. She was born in Cherokee on Nov. 4, 1924, to Alva and Margie (Ray) Keeney.

She married John William Zulauf on Aug. 12, 1945, in Cherokee. She was of the Methodist faith and loved to read and sew.

Survivors include sons John “Red” Zulauf of Cherokee, Sam Zulauf and wife Tricia of North Carolina and Alva Zulauf and wife Chris of Cherokee; daughters Brenda Scott and husband Jimmie of Llano and Sherri Johanson and husband Lyndon of Lone Grove; brother John Ed Keeney of Cherokee; sister Wyvonn Parisher of Houston; grandchildren Michael Scott, Scott E. Scott, Jeannie Z. Alcalar, Joey Zulauf, Jennifer Pinkerton, Brooke Johanson, Tyler McCarver, Kallie Johanson, Jima Johanson, McKenzie Zulauf, Adam Armstrong, Donna Bradford and Christopher Bradford; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 11, 1992; her parents; and a grandchild.

A graveside service is 10 a.m. Oct. 22 at Kuykendall Cemetery in Cherokee with the Rev. Thomas Bowden officiating. Pallbearers include R.L. Lehrer, Randy Gray, Jerry Light, Paul Henry Broyles, Bubba Norman and Ricky Don Parisher.
