Thelma Louise Williams Hogan, 100, and a longtime resident of Park Hill in north Little Rock, Ark., died Sept. 7, 2011, in Marble Falls.

The sixth of 10 children, she was born to James Franklin and Nancy Jackson Williams Dec. 14, 1910, in Lonoke, Ark., and grew up in Little Rock. She was a graduate of Central High School of Little Rock.

She married George Hogan May 25, 1934, in Little Rock.

She was a veteran employee of Vestals Florist and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock for more than 40 years. She was an award-winning cook, enjoyed being the hostess of many dinner parties and liked traveling coast to coast with her husband.

Also, she was an avid reader of the Bible and many books, and comforter of many elderly people.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Merrill Stiles of Kansas City, Kan.; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Cindy Hogan of Kingsland; grandchildren Steven Stiles of Kansas City, Kan., Sherri Stiles of Salt Lake City, Julie Hogan of Tyler and Janie Purvis of Hilliard, Ohio; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a 5-day-old son George Jr.; and daughter-in-law Linda Hogan.

A service is 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Ark., with the Rev. Mark Cothren officiating.
