Avril A. ‘Bubba’ Smith
Avril A. “Bubba” Smith, 60, of Liberty Hill died Aug. 8, 2011, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 18, 1950, in Austin, the son of James Avril and Adela Smith. Survivors include his wife Barbara E. Smith; daughters Alisha Smith, and Megan Davis and her husband Ricky Davis; stepson Bryan Rivas; stepdaughter Kyndale Rivas; grandchildren Makena Morales, Evan Haenes, Jordyn Escobido and Trey Davis; sister Elta Smith; and brother James A. Smith and wife Elaine.
A private memorial service and barbecue is Aug. 13 at the Smiths’ residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Briggs Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of choice.
