Loren Chandler Brannon, 49, of Kingsland died Aug. 5, 2011. He was born in El Paso on Jan. 19, 1962, to William L. and Suzanne Marcy Brannon.

He worked as a civilian contractor for the Navy in Afghanistan. He was a youth activities director at Calvary Hill Church and attended Buchanan West Baptist Church. He was a member of Local Union 68 of Denver and the Royal Ambassadors.

He married Tracey Goff on March 19, 1999, in Kingsland.

In addition to his wife of Kingsland, survivors include children Chandler Brannon of Denver, Mohcine Moussa of San Diego, Calif., Amanda Bannon of Denver and Anissa Moussa of Kingsland; mother Suzanne Vance of Spicewood; brothers Sam Fillingim of Spicewood and William Brannon Jr. of San Antonio; sisters Victoria Fillman of Round Rock and Anne Willis of Lopez Island, Wash., and Lee Clark of San Antonio; one grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; stepmother JoAnne Brannon; and stepfather Rolly “Jug” Hill.

A graveside service was Aug. 9 at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton with the Rev. John Taylor and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard officiating.

Another service also was Aug. 9 at Buchanan West Baptist Church in Buchanan Dam.
