Mona Christene Brown

Mona Christene Brown, 80, of Burnet died July 9, 2011. She was born in Wimberley on Aug. 16, 1930, to William and Anne Lois (Wagner) Walker.

She was an avid painter and loved to read. She also wrote stories and poems.

Survivors include her daughters Glynda McBride and Christi Jones, both of Burnet, and Kathy Rogers of San Angelo; son Cody Brown; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother Ray Walker of Marble Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charlie in 1997; and brother Roy.

An interment will be private.
