Nereyda Rose Penelas Pell
Nereyda "Nattie" Rose Penelas Pell, 70, died May 16, 2011. She was born in Cien Fuegos, Cuba, on Dec. 15, 1940, to Gelasio and Irene Gonzalez. She married Manuel O. Penelas Sr. and had two beautiful boys, whom she loved with all her heart. She came to the United States with her family in 1970 to New Jersey. In 2005, she moved to Kingsland to be close to her son Manny and his wife Diana. She loved to visit with friends and family and to crochet.
Survivors include her mother Irene Gonzalez of Cuba; sons Manuel O. Penelas Jr. and wife Diana of Buchanan Dam and Gelasio "Mitch" Penelas of Miami; sister Maria Solana and husband Antonio of Bradenton, Fla.; nephews Tony Solana Jr. and daughter Jessica and Jose Solana, wife Delane and children Nick and Kristie. She is preceded in death by her father Gelasio Gonzalez; and second husband Charles E. Pell.
A service is 1 p.m. July 16 at Towne Park Community Center, 101 Towne Park Drive in Kingsland.
