MARBLE FALLS — Emergency crews treated two people with “non-critical” injuries after a two-vehicle collision June 5 at the intersection of U.S. 281 and Second Street.
According to a Marble Falls Police Department report, the collision happened between an SUV and a passenger vehicle about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection adjacent to the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center.
“Witnesses said one car ran a red light and T-boned the other,” the report stated.
One person was transported to the emergency room at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center-Marble Falls.
At least one more patient was treated at the scene by the EMS crew, according to the report.

I’m glad nobody was seriously injured, it could’ve been much worse.
I’m at that light every single week day morning.
I wish a cop would sit at that light and watch how many people run through the red light. It’s at least one but usually 2 or 3 run through it both directions on 281. I’m always very careful when my light turns green because someone will be running through it. Seems like the light is more of a suggestion 🙁
Same thing with the main light (1431 & 281)
I very narrowly escaped being hit at 7th and 281. I was crossing 281 when a car ran the red light. He was oblivious to what was going on because I was in the space that would be the turn lane when he whizzed up and came into that same area, almost t-boning me and then his jerk of the wheel took him into the North bound lane —but he was traveling South. I was lucky.
Almost every day I turn there, if not had waited I’d been hit many times no matter which side of light on. It happens at all lights, seems some speed up just to make it after red ?
