Donald Lee Jordan, 80, of Highland Haven died April 13, 2017
Donald Lee Jordan, 80, of Highland Haven, Texas, passed away April 13, 2017. He was born to Elgin and Ethel (Luke) Jordan on Nov. 7, 1936, in Beaumont, Texas.
Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy with the Seabees in Vietnam and was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking, gardening, hunting, and aggravating the residents of Highland Haven.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years and four months, Shirley; son Douglas E. Jordan and wife Mary Beth of New Jersey; daughter, Sherylann Jordan-Pierce and husband Scott of Kingsland; and grandchildren, Jeffrey G. Jordan of Austin, Matthew A. Jordan of Denver, Colorado, and Ashley N. Jordan of Washington, D.C.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest son, Dale Wilson Jordan.
Visitation is 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at 402 Campa Pajama Lane in Kingsland. A memorial service starts at 4 p.m. with refreshments following.
