MARBLE FALLS — During the regular meeting of the Faith Academy Board of Trustees on Nov. 14, athletic director John Berkman presented his research of a possible move by the academy’s football team to go to 11-man football.

Currently, the squad is a six-man team in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.

Both Berkman and administrator Mark Earwood emphasize the school is looking at options and a decision has not been made regarding this issue.

In addition, he told board members of the way parents responded during a meeting the previous week. Parents have told Berkman whatever the academy chooses to do — either stay as a six-man team or go to 11-man — they would support the decision, he said.

The board didn’t make a decision on what they wanted to do, Berkman said.
