Lanny Zane Roberts, 67, of Kingsland died July 27, 2016

Lanny Zane Roberts, 67, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away July 27, 2016. He was born to Gerald and Rose Ann (Pelham) Roberts in Lamesa, Texas, on Aug. 7, 1948.

Lanny was a farmer by occupation but also was into horse racing, horse training, raising cattle, and playing dominoes. He was a member of the 1966 graduating class of Klondike High School.

He is survived by daughters, Tausha Brock and husband Doug of Lamesa and Robin Wilkie and husband Brian of Lamesa; grandchildren, Sterlyn Wilke, Brooklyn Wilke, and Braylee Brock; sister, Cindy Brewer and husband William of Coppell; brother, Bryan Roberts and wife Teresa of Lamesa; and his loving aunt Carole Smith of Aspermont. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lynda Roberts.

A funeral service is 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at Putnam Funeral Home Chapel, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. Interment is 1 p.m. Aug. 2 at Resthaven Cemetery, 4616 N. Big Spring St. in Midland.
