Slayton Scott Seward
God graced this world with Slayton Scott Seward on Nov. 14, 1988, in Fredericksburg, Texas. His Lord and Savior welcomed him home on Sept. 8, 2016, from Copperas Cove, Texas.
Slayton lived the first 12 years of his life in Llano before moving to Copperas Cove in 2001.
Slayton was known to all who loved him for his intelligence and his passion for politics. He was the first student in Copperas Cove High School to be named TAKS Master for achieving academic excellence on all of his tests, an honor he repeated the following year. He was forever a champion for unborn children and the mentally ill.
Slayton developed Pandas syndrome as a young child, and, as a result, he faced enormous difficulties throughout his live. He fought bravely for so many years, and through it all, he never lost his love and compassion for everyone around him, even in his weakest moments. He was an amazing person.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. Sept. 16 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Stacy Nobles officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Rickey Oestreich, Barton Oestreich, Kelly Oestreich Hank Oestreich, Richard Oestreich and Mike Catala. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Seward, Darrell Boyd, Michael Roberts, Jason Roberts and Isaac Carter.
