Patricia Green Middlebrooks, 88, of Burnet, Texas, passed away July 24, 2016, in Burnet.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. July 28 at First Baptist Church of Burnet. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, north of Bertram.

Pat was born in Sweetwater, Texas, to Maude and Charles Green on Oct. 28, 1927. She went to school in Stanford, Texas.

She married Bill Geren Middlebrooks on April 20, 1947, in Abilene. After many dedicated years as a stay-home mom, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Ward County extension agent until retirement. She was involved in several ministries as a member of First Methodist Church of Monahans and Wickett. Upon moving to Burnet in 2004, she attended First Baptist Church.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Middlebrooks, and daughter Cherri Harris. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Toby Green and Fred Green.

Pat is survived by sons, Billy Middlebrooks of Orlando and Ed Middlebrooks of Burnet; daughter Jorja Morgan of Dallas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Karl Middlebrooks, Robert Dreibelbis, Cy Middlebrooks, Cory Morgan, Todd Keele, Jeremiah Sunden and Shannon Simpson.
