Florence Anne Dippel Malitz
On April 22, 2016, Florence Anne Dippel Malitz passed away at the age of 96 at an Austin-area hospital. She was born June 30, 1919, in Brenham, Texas, to Annie Ustynik and Wilhelm Dippel.
On May 20, 1938, she married Robert Charles Malitz III in Houston. They were married for 66 years until his death in 2005.
She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls for many years. She and Robert enjoyed many miles of driving trips across the United States. In recent years, her real joy was a boat ride on Lake LBJ and spending the day outside at the lake with her family.
She is survived by daughters, Sally Jones (Ron) of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Nancy Bennett of Burnet; son, John Malitz (Claudia) of San Antonio; grandchildren, Chris Jones (Jana), Steve Jones, Matt Jones (Lesley), Rhonda Bennett Posey (Allen), Ryan Malitz (Lauren), Stephanie Malitz Mitchell (Jimmy) and Natalie Malitz Brown (Tim); and 15 great-grandchildren with No. 16 on the way.
A memorial service is 1 p.m. April 28 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1803 RR 1431 in Marble Falls.
