Janie Lee Brewer, 77, of Llano died April 23, 2016

Janie Lee Brewer passed away April 23, 2016, in Llano, Texas, at the age of 77. She was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Mason, Texas, to Velma (Sanders) and Billy Clyde Scantlin.

Janie was a heavy equipment operator and was married to Hollis Clayton Brewer Sr., who passed away in 2007.

She is survived by sons, Wesley Brewer and Hollis Brewer Jr., both of Llano; brothers, Bobby Ray Scantlin of Mason and Tony Douglas Scantlin of Brady; sisters, Linda Fay of Mason and Christy Beth Scantlin of Brady; grandchildren Misty Brown, Janie Cole, J.W. Brewer and Jennifer Brewer; great-grandchildren, Cydnei Sherman, Bradley Cole, Preston Cole, Willow Dubose, Skyler Harding, Katherine Weaver, Payton Weaver, Stetson Brown, Shane Brown and Patrick Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter Patricia Bernice Leach; grandson Clayton Brice Leach; and daughter-in-law Patricia Brewer.

Pallbearers are Aaron Watson, Bradley Cole, Patrick Brown, J.W. Brewer, Bobbie Tatsch and Doyal Myers.

A graveside service was April 25 at Llano City Cemetery with J.D. Sanders officiating.
