Delila Faye Behrns Neuhaus

Delila Faye Behrns Neuhaus, 96, was born in Tow, Texas, on May 8, 1919, and her spirit departed March 13, 2016.  She was the youngest of five children born to Millard Caswell Behrns and his wife, Carrie Peacock Behrns.

She was a beautician by trade until she married and became a wife and stay-at-home mom. She was an excellent seamstress who excelled in producing all types of ladies garments, including wedding and bridesmaid dresses. One particularly fun time was when she produced red flannel pajamas and gowns for several relatives during a holiday season. She enjoyed doing crossword, word search and jigsaw puzzles.

Primarily, she was a Christian who worshiped with the Oaks West Church of Christ congregation in Burnet, Texas.

Faye Neuhaus was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus; her parents; brothers Dayton and Wilton Behrns; and sisters Thelma Behrns and Lucile Bibles.

She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Neuhaus of Tow and Karen Neuhaus of San Antonio; and numerous well-loved nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. March 17 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. Interment will follow at Tow Cemetery in Tow with Mr. John Evans officiating.
