Shirley Ann Hanson, 85, of Horseshoe Bay died March 6, 2016
Shirley Ann Hanson (nee Leyk) of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away at her home March 6, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, LeRoy M. Hanson. Her surviving family members include sons, Dale and Steve; daughters, Linda, Laura, Nancy and June; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley was born Nov. 20, 1930, to Margaret and Adam Leyk, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She and husband Roy retired to Horseshoe Bay more than 20 years ago. Her family surrounded her as she joined the Lord and her husband.
Shirley was an accomplished homemaker, much beloved of her children and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. March 12 at the Church of Horseshoe Bay.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Church of Horseshoe Bay, Roy and Shirley’s loving faith community.
