Mildred Arlena Pelky, 81, of Buchanan Dam died March 3, 2016

Mildred Arlena Pelky passed away March 3, 2016, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 81. She was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Turkey Bend, Texas, to Eula (Hall) and Curtis Brown Parker.

Mildred married Phillip H. Pelky on July 24, 1953, in Las Vegas. She moved to the area in 1981 from Southern California. She worked as a bookkeeper at Mervin’s department store.

She is survived by husband, Phillip H. Pelky of Buchanan Dam; son Richard Pelky of Buchanan Dam; daughter, Judy Becker and husband Joe of Seattle; sister Janie Teague of Buchanan Dam; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; son Curtis Pelky; sister Dovie Dunihoo; brother, Bill Parker; and brother-in-law Fred Teague.
